We need to find God, and he cannot be found in noise and restlessness. God is the friend of silence. See how nature--trees, flowers, grass--grows in silence; see the stars, the moon and the sun, how they move in silence...We need silence to be able to touch souls. --Mother Teresa

Noodles for my Cousin
This post is dedicated to my cousin in Oklahoma. He LOVES the noodles that the women in my family make from scratch. I can remember times when he would fill his plate with noodles and noodles only! He made us laugh at him......but he would simply smile and eat more noodles. We miss you, cousin! (P.S. Your dad filled his plate only once....according to him...and had partial plates two more times!!) Oh--and the noodles were excellent!

It's Frick and Frack's Half-Birthday!
Here is a picture of Frick and Frack when they were about 10 days old. We had been to Promotion 1994. The two boys holding them look much different these days! The dark haired boy was married this past Saturday and the blonde is about 6'5".
Here Frick and Frack are at Christmas 1994 with their aunt. They were a lapful! And soooooo cute........
Here they are when they were 3 and on their way to the first day of preschool. The boy with them is a good friend who went to the same daycare as Frick and Frack. He loved red legos and he STILL thinks I am the meanest mom!!
And here they are today....halfway to 15. We love you!
So True
Saw this sign downtown and thought it applied to me................There is a skinny girl inside of me trying to get out but I can usually shut her up with cookies.

Fire Batons
One of the greatest things to ever happen to our youngest daughter was at
Fall Homecoming 2008 this past October...she got to twirl FIRE batons during the halftime show. Here is some video.....no sound because we can't figure out how to edit the movie (so you don't have to see my wonderful shots of the asphalt and grass) and get sound!! Enjoy!

Christmas Pictures 2008
So on Sunday, I commented about how nice it would be if we could just for once have a decent Christmas card picture to send out. My family thinks that it is pure torture to have pictures taken. Although they agreed to let me take some pictures after church on Sunday--you can see from the above picture what I got!! Gotta love'em!!
