Because this is a big deal.
I am getting a new teaching assignment. The one thing on my license that I haven't ever taught. Are you ready? I am the new Freshman English and Health teacher at our high school. Yep. I know.

You'll do great. HS kids will appreciate your sense of humor! Are you moving from 3rd grade to HS?? Or what were you teaching before?

That is quite a change, but change is good (or so they say. Sometimes I need a bit of convincing!) You'll be great. And developing lesson plans will give you loads to do this summer. It's another excuse not to deep-clean the house. See, I'm looking out for you!
