We need to find God, and he cannot be found in noise and restlessness. God is the friend of silence. See how nature--trees, flowers, grass--grows in silence; see the stars, the moon and the sun, how they move in silence...We need silence to be able to touch souls. --Mother Teresa

News...

I have a new teaching assignment next year.

Hang on to your hats people......

And it is at my request for the first time in my teaching career.

Having given up social media for Lent, I discovered that so much of my time had been sucked up under the ruse of 'checking' social media. When I was ready to share this info, I was disappointed that I couldn't use social media to do so.  Then I realized I have a place that I have been neglecting.  A wonderful place.

A writing place.  So with this announcement, I hope that I will be returning to writing on regular basis.

And with that, I am thrilled to announce that I will be teaching first grade next year.

Just sayin'.

Congratulations on the new assignment! Of course, now that I've read today's blog about the kindergartener and his guesstimate on your age, you know you will be going back to the land where you will be really old. But it sounds as though you will be where you want to be, and I'm convinced they will figure out that you are young at heart, even if your old body is falling apart (which I can relate to, by the way. Just sayin').
