We need to find God, and he cannot be found in noise and restlessness. God is the friend of silence. See how nature--trees, flowers, grass--grows in silence; see the stars, the moon and the sun, how they move in silence...We need silence to be able to touch souls. --Mother Teresa

Dinner Time

A while back I was telling a story at lunch about something that was said at our dinner table. It involved freshman twins and something that was said during their sex ed class about condoms and Medicalodge. Don't ask....Unless you encounter a certain HS FACS teacher. She just might spill the story.

Anyway. A great friend of mine looked at me and said, "Man, I wanna eat dinner at your house. You guys have fun. Do you eat dinner at the table every night?"

You are welcome to eat dinner at our house.
Yep, we have fun.
And yep, we eat at the table almost every night.
And you know what? It's great....I love it. We talk and laugh and laugh some more. We talk about the Royals. We talk about our day. We laugh. We tell stories. And we connect. I love the dinner table. Sometimes we are at the table for an hour.

So I thought I would post this video of one dinner at our house.

Oh Them Hays Girls....there will be someone to marry them someday, won't there? PLEASE?
