We need to find God, and he cannot be found in noise and restlessness. God is the friend of silence. See how nature--trees, flowers, grass--grows in silence; see the stars, the moon and the sun, how they move in silence...We need silence to be able to touch souls. --Mother Teresa

Houses

I didn't take any of these pictures.

Why? Well....I don't really do boat rides. I have gone and survived but its a long story.

So on the boat ride my family took while at Lake of the Ozarks, I stayed on land and surprise of all surprises....read my book.

Ah, the peace and quiet. The memory keeps me going even now......

Anyway. My kids are always in awe of the houses at the lake. And I have to agree there are some pretty amazing homes.

This first picture is of a house that we can see from Granny's. Sometimes Granny gets her binoculars out to watch what is going on over there. In the beginning when the house was being built her claim was that she was watching them build it. Now? Not so sure. But it does have a pool and it looks awesome. She does have great binoculars....But who the heck cleans that bigass house?

This is the next door neighbor to the house above. And then there is one more on the other side of this one.
Very cool. Very.

And then we have some just random houses that my kids really liked......

I think this one is more like a condo....

And maybe this one is, too.....

My kids think we need a boat. One kid in college and 2 more on the way on the same day.....we're going to be lucky to have groceries. No boat. Really.

I could soooooooo live here. For a long time. Really. But whose gonna clean this bigass house?

Guess I can't live here. I don't clean house very well. Just sayin'.
