We need to find God, and he cannot be found in noise and restlessness. God is the friend of silence. See how nature--trees, flowers, grass--grows in silence; see the stars, the moon and the sun, how they move in silence...We need silence to be able to touch souls. --Mother Teresa

Wash. Rinse. Repeat as Needed.

Welcome to spring in the life of a teacher who is also a mother, housekeeper, maid, cook, crabby hag, slave driver, foot in mouth girl, and on goes the list.  This is a wild time of the year.  But it is only for a little while and then they are grown ups....all of them.  I think my friend, Mrs. E, put it best here.

We have 20 school days.

Which in Hays Crew language is 20 get-ups.  It's how we measure at our house.  How many get-ups until.......
......I am the mother of a college junior.
.......And 2 high school juniors.
.......18 precious souls become 4th graders.  ........I begin again preparing for the next 18 precious souls to become mine for 187 days.  And by preparing, I mean reading books, painting my office, renewing my soul by sleeping until I wake up and doing things that I don't get to do from August (OK. Truth be told--mid July) to late May.

It can all be a little overwhelming.  Then I remember to breathe in and out.  In. Out. In. Out.

My posting has been slim lately, and I am sorry.  I will get better.  Stick with me.....

Wash.  Rinse. Repeat as needed.  Just sayin'.

So I'm not the only one!! I have 14 research papers left to grade. I think I can. I think I can. I'm taking a break right now.

I LOVE your new header! Gosh, they grow up so fast. Adorable little kids. Now adorable, almost independent people. I'm guessing they are pretty darn good people! (I like their mom a lot!)
