We need to find God, and he cannot be found in noise and restlessness. God is the friend of silence. See how nature--trees, flowers, grass--grows in silence; see the stars, the moon and the sun, how they move in silence...We need silence to be able to touch souls. --Mother Teresa

Longford Parade

Last night opened Marching Band season for our family. We were at the Longford Parade...which is a great parade...lots of horses and both high school bands from our county. Our band sounded pretty good considering we are down about 25 kids from last year.

Twirlers looked good when they passed by us but rumor on the street is that it didn't last.....might need some practice...or a lot according to my sources.

Always love this part of a parade......

Cowboys in white shirts and wranglers.....make their grandma proud......

I am fairly certain that these boys could be dangerous....but lucky for us their mom and dad were directly behind them in a very large sprayer so we were all safe.

For the moment.

Awesome car, dude.

Can you even imagine how long it would have taken to plow a field with this tractor?

Here is my kind of wagon ride.....slow and low to the ground....Just sayin'.
